Osteopathic MP
Emily Stewart is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a personal passion for health and well-being. She was drawn to study Osteopathy following completion of her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics, because it embraces both a holistic and scientific approach to manual therapy. Emily graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and is a member of the reputable Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN) Association.
Emily’s goal is to ensure that every patient leaves the treatment feeling their best, and so her approach in centred on the individual needs and goals of each patient in that moment. Her treatments are rooted in Osteopathic Principles which recognize that the body is one dynamic unit of function – if there is dysfunction in the structures of the body, it will impact the function. Guided by these principles and a deep understanding of human movement, Emily investigates the root cause of the dysfunction, and by improving alignment and motion of structures helps to facilitate the body’s innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
