WTF is Osteopathy, anyway?! ✨ it’s not magic WTF is Osteopathy, anyway?!

✨ it’s not magic, it only feels that way! ✨

Osteopathy addresses imbalances in the musculoskeletal system, and their impact on the internal organs, circulatory and lymphatic systems, nerves, spinal cord, and other functional connections. (And vice versa!)

Think of it as a unique blend of science and art, like structural engineering in architecture. 🏗️

Osteopaths have a deep understanding of how the body moves, and what happens internally when the body moves — they know everything is connected, and treat accordingly.

Seeing an osteopath with be unique for each patient, based on their own personal history, movement patterns, functional limitations and goals.

Osteopathy always starts with an assessment to look for areas of tension, restricted or excess movement, and how the body is responding to fascial dynamics and the forces of gravity.

From there, hands on techniques like soft-tissue release, stretching, reflex and muscle activation, joint mobilization, osteopathic adjustments, and myofascial therapy are used to bring alignment to the structure of the body, so that it can function at its best.

So WTF is Osteopathy?
Well, at Anatomica we like to call it
